Eliminating Jobs – Raising the Minimum Wage
Does our government get anything right? I’m sure you’re aware that everything that comes out of our nation’s capitol seems totally destructive. The political and financial establishment apparently sold out our life, liberty and property wholesale to the great satanical forces—Big Government and Socialism.
Let’s get to the point. Here’s why raising the minimum wage is self-defeating and counter-productive.
Politicians believe they are so powerful they can abolish the laws of supply and demand. How absurd can you get?
Let’s say you own a business and want to add another worker. Obviously, you must be convinced the worker supplies enough productivity to exceed his total costs, which include wages, payroll taxes and other government legislated benefits. If the minimum wage is $7.25 per hour and the potential employee is worth only $6.50 per hour will you be able to hire him or her? Do I really have to answer this? Any business that hires workers who aren’t worth more than they are paid would soon go out of business.
Remember apprentice jobs. Have you ever wondered why they’ve vanished from the marketplace? Well, you can blame minimum wage laws.
Do you wonder why so many people live in poverty and misery—existing in slum-like conditions? Although there are some other reasons, minimum wage laws are largely responsible.

Why Minimum Wage Represents Maximum Stupidity
You might believe politicians act out of the kindness of their hearts when they decree a higher minimum wage—but this is nothing but an illusion. Since minimum wage laws permanently eliminate jobs, they actually make the unemployable person more dependent on the welfare state or criminal activities.
Honestly, do you really believe politicians care about your welfare or anyone else’s? If you do then you reside a world of illusion. Plus, you’ve bought into the delusions of the political establishment.
Governments declare their war against crime and drugs—then they turn around and deny people jobs with their brainless minimum wage legislation. Now what do you think the consequences of this idiocy is? The unemployed person unhappily realizes the hopeless of his situation and turns to drugs and crime. Does anyone actually believe the political establishment cares about the individual? Isn’t it obvious most politicians only care about power over others?
Here’s a question you can ask your “favorite” politician. Do you pass obviously destructive legislation because of greed or stupidity? Are you going to believe him when he says he does it out of the kindness of his heart or for the “good of society?”
You may believe in the power of forgiveness. This sublime virtue definitely purifies the heart and soul. Do you think maybe you’d have to reach the state of a Jesus or a Buddha to forgive the things the political and financial establishment are doing to our once great nation and its citizens?
